Effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Mental Health of Pregnant and Puerperal Women: A Systematic Review

Background: The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has caused negative impacts on the physical and mental health of population worldwide. Pregnant puerperal women comprise most vulnerable to health. Objective: To synthesize scientific evidence effects COVID-19 pregnant women. Methods: This systematic review focused answering question “what is impact women?” In order perform search studies, we used combinations keywords: pregnant, puerperal, prenatal, perinatal, health, COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2 . We identified 132 studies from databases 18 preprints. total, elected 14 another four by manual search, making up a total compose final sample this review. Results: Anxiety depression were main outcomes found, being shown in 15 11 respectively. Other found more than one study were: concerns related several factors, loneliness, stress, fear.
