Effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Mental Health of Pregnant and Puerperal Women: A Systematic Review

Background: The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has caused negative impacts on the physical and mental health of population worldwide. Pregnant puerperal women comprise most vulnerable to health. Objective: To synthesize scientific evidence effects COVID-19 pregnant women. Methods: This systematic review focused answering question “what is impact women?” In order perform search studies, we used combinations keywords: pregnant, puerperal, prenatal, perinatal, health, COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2 . We identified 132 studies from databases 18 preprints. total, elected 14 another four by manual search, making up a total compose final sample this review. Results: Anxiety depression were main outcomes found, being shown in 15 11 respectively. Other found more than one study were: concerns related several factors, loneliness, stress, fear. Conclusion: From review, can infer that impacted women, with anxiety frequent changes. social detachment, media pressure, fear contracting infection, economic scenario, rupture family rituals are as intensifying factors psychological distress, thus causing changes these
